Kevin is a Colorado native that loves to spend as much free time on the river as humanly possible. With the eyes of an osprey, this guy can see fish that other anglers just can't. Kevin is not only an accomplished angler, he is also a great companion when spending time in the backcountry.
As many of his buddies know, if it swims, he'll chase it with a fly.
'I work to fish and fish to live' -K. Pitney
Danny Frank
Danny was born in the small town of Novelty, Ohio and grew up fishing the trout streams of the east as well as several of the steelhead tribs of the Great Lakes region. A great guy and incredible angler Danny is somewhat of a trout magnet and has a sick sixth sense about what the fish are doing. With his retail shop experience and time guiding Danny knows his way around the river. Danny is currently in New Zealand doing some school work and getting to know the waters a little more intimately. He and Parker are working on some new video shorts about their experience in the land down under.
Favorite fly: #22 Olive WD-40
'I love fishing Cheesman or any other Colorado tailwater as long as it isn't the weekend' -D. Frank
Parker Clemens
Though Parker is the young pup of the wtotf crew he more than makes up for it with both his skills on the rod and behind the camera. Parker grew up not fishing the mountains of So. Cal. but we don't hold that against him.
Parker is currently in New Zealand with staffer Danny Frank working on his tan and learning some of their local waters.
Favorite fly: #22 copper brassie
'I just love the South Platte......I mean the variety on this famous river is unmatched, with so many different sections to fish it's hard to believe it's all a part of the same river' -P. Clemens
Mike Miller
Mike fell in love with the fly after his first cast and in his opinion there is almost nothing else in life better than having the streambed beneath his feet, rod in hand. Mike is currently on the Board of Directors for the Denver Chapter of Trout Unlimited an a recent addition to the Team Caddis pro-team. He has also received the Colorado Master Angler Award for his catch and release of a 21.4" Snake River Cutthroat.
Favorite fly:"whatever the fish are taking"
"Here, tie this thing on.........yeah I know it's massive, but just imagine the fish that'll take it." -M. Miller
Sawan Nail 1969-2009
Sawan Nail passed away August 24th, 2009 quietly at his home in Denver. Sawan was perhaps one of the finest anglers that was a part of the wild trout on the fly staff and his absense will make the streamside a little less inviting. Always one to share his knowledge, Sawan was a great teacher and had an amazing capacity for listening and understanding. He was a gentle soul and will be greatly missed.
Sawan knows how to find fish, big fish. Period. Sawan is an amazing angler that seems to reek fishing knowledge and great guy to boot. He has previously worked as a guide and does volunteer work for Casting for Recovery and is a superb tyer. A born teacher, if you see Sawan on the water he is always happy to help figure things out.
