As summer starts to really kick in it is time to start planning those weekend excursions to get away from the crowds. wild trout on the will get you away from it all. Many of the fishing spots you will find on our website do require hiking in the Colorado backcountry and  you to be in decent physical shape. Colorado's northeast has some of the best high mountain lake fishing that can be found in the state. One can spend a lifetime exploring the many cirques, lakes and mountain creeks that are located in Rocky Mountain National Park alone, let alone what the rest of this part of Colorado has to offer. The northwest section of Colorado allows for some incredible fishing, with a plentitude of high country fishing and with some well known rivers in the area you can have the time of your life in this part of Colorado. With wild and remote rivers such as the Piņos and the Piedra, and places with names like 'Jurrasic Park' you know that the fishing has to be spectacular. With Gunnison at it's epicentre there is so much fishing in this part of Colorado that you could literally spend a lifetime here and still not fish it all. Though it is remote, this part of Colorado is definately worth visiting, so check out our
