The Williams Fork river starts it's journey well above Williams Fork Reservoir, however the most productive fishing is in the tailwater section found below Williams Fork Reservoir. Located near Parshall Colorado the Williams Fork is considered by some to the best wild brown trout fishery in the state of Colorado. With a low number of crowds that visit this tailwater fishery, due to the fifteen minute hike to the river, the Williams Fork is always a good bet when the upper Colorado gets overwhelmingly busy. The majority of your catch is going to be brown trout in the 14"-16" range but the occasional rainbow can be fooled as well.
Flows are super low making for some really skinny water on the Willie right now. Hit this baby if you just can't find a hole on the Colorado around Parshall.
